Steam cleaning (hot water extraction)

Hot solution is injected into the pile and immediately pulled back out with strong vacuum, carrying soil with it. It is the deepest of the four and the one most carpet manufacturers ask for — the trade-off is moisture, so we control pass counts and use air movers in occupied buildings.

How often should hallway carpet be cleaned?

Most buildings do hallways twice a year, with high-traffic entry levels done more often. If your building is pet-friendly or has a busy ground floor, three or four times a year keeps the carpet from reaching the point where cleaning no longer rescues it.

Will the carpet get dirty again faster after cleaning?

Not when it is rinsed properly. Rapid re-soiling comes from detergent left in the pile, so we extract thoroughly rather than leaving residue behind — that is the single biggest difference between a good carpet job and a cheap one.

Do residents need to stay off the carpet?

For low-moisture work, essentially no — the corridor is walkable almost immediately. For extraction we set air movers and post signage, and schedule around quieter hours so the disruption lands where it bothers the fewest people.

Can you get rid of pet odours?

Often, yes — odour lives in the backing and sometimes the underlay, so surface cleaning alone will not do it. We treat the affected area specifically and tell you honestly when the odour source has gone past what cleaning can fix.

What about winter salt stains?

Salt is one of the most common Calgary issues we see. It needs a neutralizing treatment rather than a general cleaner, and entry areas usually need attention more than once through the season.

Do you move furniture in amenity rooms?

We move light, movable furniture and put it back on protectors. Heavy or fixed items we clean around, and we will flag anything that needs the building to arrange help.
